Have you ever been using a hammer and accidentally hit your finger? Do you remember the expression or words that came out of your mouth? Do you remember that time when you were driving and another driver just cut in front of you without warning or signaling? Do you remember how you reacted to that incident?
The words that come out of our mouths are very important, just like the actions we take under every situation, lets see what
Luke 6:43-45 (MSG) says:
Work the Words into Your Life
43-45 “You don’t get wormy apples off a healthy tree, nor good apples off a diseased tree. The health of the apple tells the health of the tree. You must begin with your own life-giving lives. It’s who you are, not what you say and do, that counts. Your true being brims over into true words and deeds.
This is a continuation of last Wednesday’s message, now let’s see what:
Matthew 7:16-21 (TLB) says:
16 You can detect them by the way they act, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit. You need never confuse grapevines with thorn bushes or figs with thistles. 17 Different kinds of fruit trees can quickly be identified by examining their fruit.
18 A variety that produces delicious fruit never produces an inedible kind. And a tree producing an inedible kind can’t produce what is good. 19 So the trees having the inedible fruit are chopped down and thrown on the fire. 20 Yes, the way to identify a tree or a person[a] is by the kind of fruit
21 “Not all who sound religious are really godly people. They may refer to me as ‘Lord,’ but still won’t get to heaven. For the decisive question is whether they obey my Father in heaven.
